Conservation Architect for Bath
My name is Edward Checkley and I’m a fully qualified architect, specialising in conservation work on listed buildings in and around Bath. I have lived and worked in the area for many years working for a number of well known local and national conservation practices before starting my own practice.
I have a broad spectrum of experience and have worked on a variety of projects across Bath from historic but unlisted cottages in conservation areas, through to town apartments and up to grand listed country estates.
Whether your historic property is Grade I, Grade II or Grade II* listed, you may need an architect specialising in conservation in the Bath and North East Somerset area, to guide you through the process of obtaining planning permission and listed building consent for works which you wish to undertake.
One of the questions clients across Bath ask me is, do I need listed building consent?, do I need approval?
I can help with all aspects of these applications from the survey works through to a full submission, and help explain where approval is and isn’t required.
As a Conservation Architect for Bath and the North East Somerset I cover the following areas , and surrounding towns and villages:
Freshford, Weston, Northend, Batheaston, Bathampton, Bathford
