Conservation Architect for Wiltshire

Conservation Architect for WiltshireMy name is Edward Checkley and I’m a fully qualified architect, specialising in conservation work on listed buildings in and around the county of Wiltshire. I have lived and worked in the area for many years. In that time i have worked for a number of well known local and national conservation practices before starting my own practice.

I have a broad spectrum of experience and have worked on a variety of projects across Wiltshire and neighbouring counties. From historic but unlisted cottages in conservation areas like Bradford on Avon, through to town apartments in Bath and up to grand listed country estates.

Whether your historic property is Grade I, Grade II or Grade II* listed, you may need an architect specialising in conservation and has experience working in the Wiltshire area, to guide you through the process of obtaining planning permission and listed building consent for works which you would like to undertake.

One of the many questions clients across Wiltshire ask me is, do I need listed building consent?, do I need approval?

I can help with all aspects of these applications from the survey works through to a full submission, and help explain where approval is and isn’t required.

As a Conservation Architect for Wiltshire I cover the following areas, and surrounding towns and villages:

Ansty, Boyton, Bradford-on-Avon, Blackmore Vale, Bourton, Codford, Cranborne Chase, Chilmark, East Knoyle, Fonthill Gifford, Gasper, Heytesbury, Hindon, Longbridge Deverill, Maiden Bradley, Mere, Monkton Deverill, Semley, Stourton, Swallowcliffe, Sutton Veny, Tisbury, Wardour, Wyle Valley and Zeals.
